Faleceu na manh\u00e3 desta sexta-feira (14) o ex-prefeito de Balsas, Luiz Rocha Filho, mais conhecido como Rochinha. Ele foi v\u00edtima de um ataque fulminante em sua resid\u00eancia.
Rochinha encontrava-se em S\u00e3o Lu\u00eds e j\u00e1 vinha tratando de problemas de sa\u00fade h\u00e1 algum tempo. Devido a complica\u00e7\u00f5es renais, ele fazia tratamento de hemodi\u00e1lise.

Luiz Rocha Filho era filho do ex-governador do estado, Luiz Rocha (falecido em 2001), e irm\u00e3o mais velho do ex-senador da Rep\u00fablica, Roberto Rocha.
Em 2007, assumiu e foi confirmado como deputado federal para a Legislatura 2003-2007, em 8 de janeiro de 2007, ocupando a vaga deixada por Jo\u00e3o Castelo. Em 2012, foi eleito prefeito da cidade de Balsas, no sul do Maranh\u00e3o, com mais de 40% dos votos v\u00e1lidos.
