O MPMA \u2013 Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico do Maranh\u00e3o est\u00e1 conduzindo uma investiga\u00e7\u00e3o sobre o prefeito de Viana, Carrinho (PL), em meio a suspeitas de utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o indevida de recursos e eventos p\u00fablicos para promo\u00e7\u00e3o pessoal, em um contexto que antecede as elei\u00e7\u00f5es municipais.
Com base em informa\u00e7\u00f5es recebidas pelo \u00f3rg\u00e3o ministerial, Carrinho estaria envolvido na distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de brindes e na utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o do Carnaval 2024 para promover sua imagem p\u00fablica, o que pode configurar abuso de poder pol\u00edtico ou econ\u00f4mico com poss\u00edveis reflexos no processo eleitoral.
Diante dessas suspeitas, o MPMA decidiu instaurar um Procedimento Preparat\u00f3rio Eleitoral (PPE) para apurar os fatos de maneira formal e imparcial. Como parte desse processo, ser\u00e1 expedido um of\u00edcio ao Prefeito Municipal, solicitando informa\u00e7\u00f5es detalhadas sobre a confec\u00e7\u00e3o e distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de bon\u00e9s com a inscri\u00e7\u00e3o \u201cCarrinho\u201d durante as festividades do carnaval de 2024.
