Acumulando mais uma derrota, desta vez o STJ nega pedido de suspens\u00e3o de afastamento de Paula da Pindoba <\/em><\/strong>


O Superior Tribunal de Justi\u00e7a (STJ) negou o pedido de suspens\u00e3o do afastamento de Paula da Pindoba, nome pol\u00edtico de Maria Paula Azevedo Desterro, conforme habeas corpus impetrado em seu favor contra ac\u00f3rd\u00e3o do Tribunal de Justi\u00e7a do Estado do Maranh\u00e3o (HC n. 0811387-86.2024.8.10.0000).

A decis\u00e3o mant\u00e9m a determina\u00e7\u00e3o do Tribunal de Justi\u00e7a do Maranh\u00e3o que afastou Paula da Pindoba de suas fun\u00e7\u00f5es devido a investiga\u00e7\u00f5es conduzidas pelo Grupo de Atua\u00e7\u00e3o Especial de Combate \u00e0s Organiza\u00e7\u00f5es Criminosas (GAECO).

Os autos do Procedimento Investigat\u00f3rio Criminal n. 2910-507\/2023, instaurado pelos promotores de Justi\u00e7a membros do GAECO, indicam a apura\u00e7\u00e3o de supostas irregularidades na contrata\u00e7\u00e3o de empresas pelo Munic\u00edpio de Pa\u00e7o do Lumiar – MA. As investiga\u00e7\u00f5es focam na aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de materiais permanentes e equipamentos como aparelhos de ar-condicionado e ventiladores para a Secretaria Municipal de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o (SEMED), a Secretaria Municipal de Administra\u00e7\u00e3o e Finan\u00e7as (SEMAF) e a Secretaria Municipal de Sa\u00fade (SEMUS), utilizando recursos do Fundo Municipal de Sa\u00fade (FMS).

A negativa do STJ ressalta a gravidade das acusa\u00e7\u00f5es e a necessidade de manter o afastamento de Paula da Pindoba enquanto as investiga\u00e7\u00f5es prosseguem, com isso, cai por terra toda a especula\u00e7\u00e3o de retorno da prefeita afastada por corrup\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
