Um erro nas informa\u00e7\u00f5es enviadas por 14 C\u00e2maras Municipais do Maranh\u00e3o \u00e0 Justi\u00e7a Eleitoral pode resultar na perda dos mandatos de 28 vereadores eleitos.
O problema ocorreu porque as C\u00e2maras n\u00e3o consideraram os dados atualizados do Censo Demogr\u00e1fico de 2022, que apontaram uma redu\u00e7\u00e3o populacional em seus munic\u00edpios, afetando diretamente o n\u00famero de cadeiras dispon\u00edveis nas Casas Legislativas.
Com a quantidade de vereadores eleitos maior do que o permitido pelo novo Censo, o Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) declarou os resultados no domingo (6), sem identificar a falha. A situa\u00e7\u00e3o foi descoberta dois dias depois, na ter\u00e7a (8), e agora pode levar \u00e0 anula\u00e7\u00e3o dos mandatos, al\u00e9m de poss\u00edveis san\u00e7\u00f5es do Tribunal de Contas do Estado (TCE-MA) e notifica\u00e7\u00f5es do Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico.
