O ministro Alexandre de Moraes, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), indeferiu o pedido do partido Solidariedade contra a elei\u00e7\u00e3o de Daniel Brand\u00e3o ao cargo de presidente do Tribunal de Contas do Estado do Maranh\u00e3o (TCE-MA).
A legenda solicitou, de forma subsidi\u00e1ria, o afastamento de Daniel da presid\u00eancia do tribunal, cargo para o qual ele foi eleito para o bi\u00eanio 2025\/2026 e que assumir\u00e1 em janeiro.
Daniel Brand\u00e3o apresentou, no \u00faltimo fim de semana, manifesta\u00e7\u00e3o ao STF em resposta \u00e0 reclama\u00e7\u00e3o do partido Solidariedade. Ele sustentou ao ministro Alexandre de Moraes, relator do caso, que sua nomea\u00e7\u00e3o foi aprovada unanimemente pela Assembleia Legislativa, o que descaracteriza nepotismo.
