A prefeita de Lago da Pedra, Maura Jorge (PP), anunciou oficialmente nesta semana o nome do filho, Rui Jorge, como pr\u00e9-candidato a deputado estadual nas elei\u00e7\u00f5es de 2026. A declara\u00e7\u00e3o foi feita por meio de suas redes sociais, em uma publica\u00e7\u00e3o que destacou a trajet\u00f3ria pol\u00edtica da gestora e os valores que, segundo ela, fundamentam a escolha do novo nome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Com longa atua\u00e7\u00e3o na pol\u00edtica maranhense, Maura Jorge acumula quatro mandatos como deputada estadual, al\u00e9m de quatro mandatos como prefeita. Ela tamb\u00e9m disputou o governo do estado em 2018 e \u00e9 considerada uma das figuras mais tradicionais e influentes da regi\u00e3o do M\u00e9dio Mearim. Na \u00faltima elei\u00e7\u00e3o municipal, foi reeleita com a maior diferen\u00e7a de votos da hist\u00f3ria de Lago da Pedra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Na publica\u00e7\u00e3o, Maura justificou a decis\u00e3o como fruto de di\u00e1logo com seu grupo pol\u00edtico e afirmou que n\u00e3o se trata apenas de uma escolha familiar, mas tamb\u00e9m estrat\u00e9gica e de responsabilidade p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014 \u201cEssa n\u00e3o \u00e9 apenas uma decis\u00e3o de m\u00e3e, mas de l\u00edder p\u00fablica. Foi constru\u00edda com di\u00e1logo, responsabilidade e alinhamento com todo o nosso grupo pol\u00edtico\u201d, afirmou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rui Jorge, tamb\u00e9m chamado de Rui Neto, \u00e9 advogado e empres\u00e1rio. Segundo a prefeita, o filho foi criado com os mesmos valores que pautaram sua vida p\u00fablica: respeito ao povo, sensibilidade para servir e humildade para aprender. Ela destacou ainda que a pol\u00edtica deve ser ocupada por pessoas comprometidas com resultados e respeito \u00e0 popula\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014 \u201cApresento o Rui Jorge por ser um homem preparado, s\u00e9rio e comprometido com a boa pol\u00edtica: aquela que transforma de verdade a vida das pessoas\u201d, disse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O an\u00fancio ocorre em um cen\u00e1rio de movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o nos bastidores pol\u00edticos maranhenses, com lideran\u00e7as buscando renovar seus grupos e fortalecer nomes para a pr\u00f3xima disputa eleitoral. O lan\u00e7amento de Rui Jorge marca a tentativa de continuidade do legado pol\u00edtico de Maura Jorge no Legislativo estadual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
