Dois dias depois da Opera\u00e7\u00e3o T\u00e2ntalo II e de ser considerado foragido, o prefeito de Turil\u00e2ndia, Paulo Curi\u00f3, se apresentou, nesta quarta-feira (24), na Delegacia Geral de Pol\u00edcia Civil do Maranh\u00e3o, em S\u00e3o Lu\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paulo Curi\u00f3 se apresentou juntamente com a primeira-dama, Eva Curi\u00f3, e a ex-vice-prefeita de Turil\u00e2ndia. Todos foram alvos da opera\u00e7\u00e3o deflagrada pelo Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico do Maranh\u00e3o, que investiga um esquema de desvio de R$ 56 milh\u00f5es dos cofres p\u00fablicos.
Com isso, todos os mandados foram cumpridos com as pris\u00f5es do prefeito, da vice-prefeita, e todos os vereadores do munic\u00edpio que, segundo o Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico, s\u00e3o parte de uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o criminosa que desviou recursos p\u00fablicos.
\u201cNa C\u00e2mara, todos os vereadores faziam parte do esquema, recebendo dinheiro desviado diretamente ou atrav\u00e9s de parentes\u201d, afirmou o promotor do Grupo de Atua\u00e7\u00e3o Especial de Combate ao Crime Organizado (GAECO), Fernando Berniz.
Ap\u00f3s ser preso, Paulo Curi\u00f3 e a vice, T\u00e2nia Mendes, ser\u00e3o encaminhados para a Unidade Prisional de Ressocializa\u00e7\u00e3o de Pedrinhas, em S\u00e3o Lu\u00eds, para cumprir pris\u00e3o preventiva. J\u00e1 os 11 vereadores tiveram a pris\u00e3o preventiva convertida para domiciliar ou uso de tornozeleira eletr\u00f4nica.
