O ex-presidente Jos\u00e9 Sarney (MDB) declarou apoio \u00e0 indica\u00e7\u00e3o do atual ministro da Advocacia-Geral da Uni\u00e3o (AGU), Jorge Messias, a uma vaga no STF, feita pelo presidente Lula.
Em conversa com a coluna, Sarney classificou Messias como \u201cuma das maiores intelig\u00eancias jur\u00eddicas\u201d do Brasil e disse que o ministro merece ter sua indica\u00e7\u00e3o aprovada pelo Senado.
\u201cMe congratulo com a indica\u00e7\u00e3o do ministro Messias para integrar o Supremo Tribunal Federal, uma vez que se trata de uma das maiores intelig\u00eancias jur\u00eddicas do pa\u00eds. Ele tem grandes qualidades e virtudes c\u00edvicas e morais. Ele merece ser reconhecido pelo Senado para vir a ocupar uma cadeira de ministro do Supremo, onde certamente ir\u00e1 brilhar por sua compet\u00eancia\u201d, disse Sarney em conversa por telefone com a coluna.
A declara\u00e7\u00e3o de Sarney ocorre dias ap\u00f3s o ex-mandat\u00e1rio receber Messias para uma conversa em Bras\u00edlia. \u201cTenho enorme carinho e admira\u00e7\u00e3o pelo presidente Sarney\u201d, disse o AGU \u00e0 coluna.
